That ONE day it snowed in Phoenix, Arizona | Snow in the Valley of the Sun

As an Arizona native, I love rain and I LOVE SNOW!!! Well, I like the idea of snow and I love playing in it for a few hours. After that, I am done with it! I have never lived in the snow and am not in a hurry to give up my gorgeous winters to shovel snow or freeze my tushy off. Last week, AZ broke all sorts of records with snow in areas that it NEVER snows….and it was AMAZING to see! We ventured northeast of us to an area in Scottsdale off of Cave Creek.

These desert dwellers had a BLAST throwing snowballs and finally getting some use of our sleds. The pure JOY on the their faces says it all!

I am thankful that we were able to get out and play in our “once in a lifetime” snow among our spiky friends, the cactus! I have grown to love the desert in so many ways, and this was incredible to see!
