Hi friends! I thought I would update you on sweet baby Paisley! I was able to visit her a couple weeks ago and see just how much progress she has made. These photos were all taken March 6th.

As of today, she is 4lb 10oz - almost a pound more than when I took these photos!!!

Here’s an update from her mommy:

She officially doubled her birth weight and turned 2 months old! She wasn’t making much progress respiratory wise on the diuretic they tried, so they decided to do a course of steroids which worked beautifully. She was moved from CPAP to Vapotherm and they are slowly trying to wean her off respiratory support completely. Once she’s down to a setting of 2 liters on Vapotherm, they will begin oral feeding. We’re told that is the hardest part of this whole thing, so we are praying all will go well when we get to that point. She achieved one of the three goals needed to go home on Thursday - maintaining her own body temperature! This means they were able to open the top of her isolette permanently and she got dressed in her very first outfit on last week!! They started her on a new medication yesterday which goes directly though her nasal cannula. They are hoping this med will help them be able to wean her down on her respiratory settings. She is down to 0.5 liters today, so we are praying that she tolerates it well and we can get her to regular oxygen in the next week! Otherwise, they will have to consider another course of steroids which come with lots of risks. So many big changes, but lots of good things which we couldn’t be more thankful for. We still have a long way to go, so all continued prayers are appreciated!
