Halloween 2024
Every year since 2012 when Andrew was 10 months old, we have taken their pic on Halloween on our porch steps. I love watching the progression of their personalities and growth!!! This year, Dylan did not want to wear anything but his name tag :) And as always we waited until the last minute to get or make something for Andrew—so he grabbed a wig at Walmart. Dylan laughed hysterically at Andrew for at least 10 miles from the walmart parking lot on the way home…..it was so entertaining.
Here are my thoughts on traditions. I think traditions are so much fun and they make holidays or special events memorable. BUT, if it is stressful to make those traditions happen EVERY SINGLE YEAR, then it’s not worth the stress or extra anxiety it may cause….usually for mommas. That being said….I will move heavens and earth to make these pics happen each year. It’s the ONE tradition that I cherish so much because of all of the years of pictures watching the boys grow through each one….it is my favorite thing. Here is my PSA to all of you mommas out there who work so hard to build amazing memories for your family and kiddos. If you can make it happen and it’s not going to make you go crazy, then go for it!! But, if it is going to cause too much stress on you or your family, it is not the end of the world and you can try again next year :) Last Christmas, we did not do Christmas cookies. Did anyone die because we skipped it? No. Did we still have an amazing Christmas full of other memories and a less stressed mom, YES!! Worth IT!!!
Love you friends! Enjoy my yearly pics of my crazy giant boys and their amazing cousins!! I am so thankful they all love each other and get to live close!!
