Breanna + Drew's Anniversary Session | Phoenix Arizona Wedding Photographer
These two were in town visiting family for the holidays and it was the perfect time to have their anniversary session shot in the beautiful landscape of Arizona. It was a very unseasonably chilly and windy day without our signature sunshine. The wind helped add a little magic to our session, even though poor Breanna was freezing the entire time! They were troopers and we were able to capture some beautiful moments!
I love celebrating LOVE! Whether you have been married one year or 50 years, it's never too early or too late to capture those beautiful moments of you and your spouse. Anniversary sessions are near and dear to my heart! When we live in a world of failing marriages, I feel that it is so very important to celebrate and nurture that love that first started our families. I would love to see more anniversary sessions in front of my camera this year. It's important. Celebrate YOU!!
Breanna and Drew, it was an honor working with you guys and I hope you cherish these for years to come!! I am so excited to see what God has in store for you this coming year!
As always, I enjoy sharing the stories of how my couples met and what brought them to where they are today.
It all started the summer of 2009. I had one year left at Arizona State and was coaching swimming for the summer. Drew had just graduated from college and moved to the Phoenix area to take his first ministry position at a church down the road.
One hot July swim meet, a swim mom came up to me and asked me if I had a boyfriend. As I frantically lined up children and told them what lane to go to, I shook my head no and never thought about it again. Little did I know, her husband had just hired Drew at their church and they were playing matchmaker unbeknownst to either Drew or I. :-)
Fast forward to a few awkward Facebook messages and phone calls later and we had our first date. He picked me up, we side hugged (oh yeah), and then ate at Tagliani's. I was sooo nervous. Drew even says I jumped out of the car before he had even pulled back into my driveway. I'm sure that is an exaggeration. I just didn't want him to think he was getting a kiss just yet! Ha
The rest is pretty much history. We fell in love in the desert and married in 2011. In 2012, we moved across the country to Indiana. Through ups and downs, it's been an amazing adventure. I couldn't imagine anyone else by my side! We are looking forward to celebrating our 6th wedding anniversary in February!
Thank you, Michelle for taking photos that will last a lifetime!
